If you make gear for smart homes, 3D printing, LEGO builds or the tabletop hobby, and you want it reviewed by someone who will actually use it, you’re in the right place.
To be clear up front: I only review what I use, and I say what I found, good and bad. If that works for you, read on.
What I cover
- Smart home, local first: Zigbee, Thread and Matter, ESPHome, voice, sensors, locks and switches. Tested on a live Home Assistant setup, and the post says whether a device leans on the cloud.
- 3D printing and making: FDM and resin printers, resin casting, filament, resin, tools and accessories.
- LEGO and compatible bricks: sets, plus lighting and motor kits.
- Tabletop and TTRPG: miniatures, paints and brushes, terrain, hobby tools, and RPG books and PDFs.
See how I treat my own gear
The best preview of how I’d review your product is how I reviewed mine:
- Bambu Lab P1S review: a year in, with the AMS
- ELEGOO Saturn 2 8K review
- I audited my Zigbee network. Half of it was gone.
- LEGO Minas Tirith (11377) review
- Arcana Unleashed review: magic for martials, with caveats
How it works
- Send a note to hello@intellinary.com (or use the contact page) with the product, what it does, and links to specs and compatibility: Home Assistant support, protocols, firmware, materials, whatever applies.
- I tell you whether it fits and whether I can give it a real test. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll say so. No hard feelings.
- You ship it once we’ve agreed it’s a fit. I’ll send shipping details by email. Setup notes and a technical contact help a lot.
- I use it for as long as it needs: usually a couple of weeks for smart home gear, a full build for sets, and real prints or real painted models for maker and hobby gear. I won’t commit to a publish date before I’ve used it.
- I publish a written review. The post says near the top that you sent the unit.
Shipping
Shipping details on request: email hello@intellinary.com and I’ll send them once we’ve agreed on a product. Send the tracking number too, so I know it’s coming.
What you get
- A hands-on review from real use, with photos of the unit I actually tested and a clear verdict.
- A heads-up if I hit a bug or defect, and a chance to respond before the post goes up.
- Factual errors fixed, and an update when firmware or a revision changes the picture.
What I won’t do
- Guarantee a positive review. You get what I found.
- Take money for a review, a rating or a placement.
- Review anything I haven’t used, or send a post to you for approval before it goes live.
- Post reviews on retailer sites for you.
- Hide the relationship. Every post discloses free units and affiliate links at the top. The details are on How I Review.
If that sounds like a fit, I’m all ears.
-Randall
